What's Going On at the market

Washington Campbell Farming opens the gates for the Delaware Farm Crawl, the Saturday field day of the Annual Mid-Atlantic Black Farmers Conference. Self-guided stops across Black-owned Delaware farms: walk the beds, meet the growers, taste soursop and sorrel straight from the cooler, and shop greens, eggs and preserves on site. Free to attend — bring a cooler bag.

The conference day ahead of the Farm Crawl: sessions on land access, specialty crop production and market channels, with Washington Campbell Farming among the participating growers. Held on the Delaware State University campus in Dover.

The farm's weekly stand at the Glasgow Park Farmers Market: heritage greens, callaloo-style cooking greens, farm eggs, low-sugar preserves, and cold-pressed soursop and sorrel. SNAP/EBT, WIC and Senior Nutrition benefits accepted at the stand.

Walk the seven acres on Smyrna Landing Road with Andrea and Michael: eight laying-hen coops, ducks and geese, goats and hogs, high-tunnel vegetables and the cutting-flower beds.
